Rattle That Lock: Details über neuen Song von David Gilmour

Die Rückseite der “Rattle That Lock” Promo-Single gibt neben dem kompletten Songtext die Namen der mitwirkenden Musikern bekannt.

Guy Pratt spielt Bass, das überrascht uns nicht. Dafür aber der Name des Bassisten Yaron Stavi, den Gilmour von dessen Zusammenarbeit mit Phil Manzanera kennen wird. Gilmour hat einmal bei einem Konzert mit ihm gespielt. 2009 spielte Manzanera im Ronnie Scott Club in London. Nach der Pause holte er Gilmour auf die Bühne. Gemeinsam spielten sie u.a. von Miles Davis “Filles de Kilimanjaro”.

Phil Manzanera spielt auch auf “Rattle That Lock”. Er betätigt Hammond Organ und steuerte Keyboard “Elements” bei. Danny Cummings ist jemand mit dem Gilmour im Studio noch nicht gearbeitet hat. Er spielt Percussion.

Es sieht ganz danach aus als ob Gilmour selbst, die Tasteninstrumente Hammond Organ/Keyboard spielt. DiStanislao an den Drums, das wussten wir schon, wir sahen ihn in der EPK.
