Graham Nash: David Gilmour ist ein sehr beeindruckender Musiker
Rocklegende Graham Nash, der mit Neil Young, David Crosby und Stephen Stills beim legendären Woodstock-Festival auftrat, ist voll des Lobes für David Gilmour. Nash, der mit Crosby auf den Soloalben On an Island und Rattle That Lock des Pink Foyd Gitarristen sang, sagte in einem neuen Interview, dass er von Gilmour’s Talenten beeindruckt ist.
You and Crosby sang a bit with David Gilmour on one of Gilmour’s tours a few years back, correct?
GRAHAM NASH: Yes, and we sang on a couple of his records too.
That right. What new insight did you get from singing on songs like “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” live with Gilmour about either Pink Floyd’s music or David’s guitar playing?
GRAHAM NASH: I was completely amazed by David Gilmour. He has yet to play a wrong note. I’ve never heard a wrong note come from his guitar yet and it was fascinating singing with him. In New York, when we played with him at Radio City Music Hall, he wanted to do “Find The Cost OF Freedom,” and I said, “Wow, we’ve done with anybody else except Stephen.” And he said, “Well, we’re going to do it tonight.” [Laughs] And we went through a five-minute rehearsal and it was fabulous. He’s a very impressive musician.

Da hat der Graham Nash aber so was von Recht dem ist eigentlich nichts hinzuzufügen!
Außer : „Ich habe noch nie eine falsche Note von seiner Gitarre gehört“ das bezweifle ich ein bisschen. 🙂
Graham Nash ist ja selbst ein ganz, ganz großer!
Es wird immer, auch hier bei P&S von Stills, Crosby, und Young gesprochen. Leider vergessen die Leute, das Graham Nash seinerzeit bei den Hollies gesungen hatte, sogar die Rhythmus-Gitarre spielte.
Nichts für ungut aber er ist ein Top Künstler mit tiefen Musikwurzeln.
Das mit den Hollies ist ja auch ein paar Jährchen her, war mir aber bekannt, mit Ausnahme der Rhythmus-Gitarre. Schön, wenn sich andere Musiker positiv über D. G. und die Anderen äußern.
Schade dass die Wahrscheinlichkeit Crosby und Nash nochmal zusammen auf einer Bühne zu sehen ähnlich hoch ist wie bei Gilmour und Waters.
