Directed by long-time Gilmour collaborator Gavin Elder, the sublime spectacle, filmed against the backdrop of the ancient ruins of Rome, blends solo tracks from David’s most recent album Luck and Strange, including a stirring rendition of Between Two Points with Romany Gilmour as well as classic Pink Floyd anthems such as Sorrow, High Hopes, Breathe, Time, Wish You Were Here, and Comfortably Numb.
The Luck and Strange tour spanned 23 dates in five cities and was instantly sold out. With no new shows on the horizon, David Gilmour Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome is the best and only way to experience the master of his art on stage projected on the biggest screen in the UK.
The presentation also includes the short, behind-the-scenes documentary The Road to Rome.

Strangely, I hadn’t heard anything about it. Did they only sell tickets in the UK? I don’t have social media anymore, so maybe that’s why I missed it. I wish you a wonderful evening — and maybe we’ll get the chance to see some cool pictures from you? Man, being in a cinema with all the Gilmour crew… really nice!
Da diese Veranstaltung ausverkauft ist, wird es wohl kaum normal zu kaufende Tickets gegeben haben. Alle Bandmitglieder und Familie und Freunde feiern nochmal rückblickend diese ausverkaufte Tour.
Wichtig wäre mir, alle finden weiter gefallen daran zusammen zu touren und es gäbe für uns die Chance diese großartigen Künstler nochmal live zu sehen.
Hoffen wir, dass Alle gesund bleiben und David und Polly schnell Text und Musik für neue Songs erarbeiten.
Hi, heute ist einiges los in Sachen Pink Floyd u. David Gilmour. Außer der Weltpremiere gibt es heute Abend um 23:15 Uhr eine weitere Premiere, nähmlich ” Pink Floyd at Pompeii MCMLXXII” auf Arte zu sehen. Zuvor (21:40 Uhr) gibt es noch die Doku “Die Geschichte von Syd Barrett & Pink Floyd”. Gruß Christof
I was there yesterday was great sat at the 4 row right in front of David with the Q and A . film is fantastic! met David and Polly in the lobby afterwards . got a handshake and had a small chat with him .
