Roger Waters feierte Open-Air-Premiere “The Wall Live” im Estadio Nacional in Santiago, 2. März 2012.

Das sieht ganz nach einer gelungenen Open-Air-Premiere aus! Es war schon die Arena-Bühnenversion nicht gerade klein; die Bühne, die im “Estadio Nacionale” aufgestellt wurde, scheint das Stadion etwas zu überragen. Roger Waters widmete das erste Konzert in Santiago dem chilenischen Songwriter Víctor Jara und allen Opfern der Militärdiktatur von Augusto Pinochet (1973–1990).

ROGER WATERS: I dedicate this show to the memory of Víctor Jara and all deaths, disappeared and torture victims. We will remember them.
