David Gilmour mit The Orb im Studio!

9.10.2009: David Gilmour bestätigte nun auf seiner Homepage die Gerüchte um seine Zusammenarbeit mit The Orb. Er gibt uns diesbezüglich auch ein wenig mehr Information. Gilmour hat bereits Aufnahmen mit The Orb eingespielt unter der Obacht von Produzent Youth (U2, Crowded House, INXS, Erasure, The Cult, James, Faith No More, Siouxsie and the Banshees. Youth produzierte auch Durga McBrooms Soloalbum bei dem Gilmour und Wright mitspielten!). Youth gehört auch aktuellen The Orb Besetzung an. Inspiriert wurde das Gilmour & The Orb Projekt von der Misere rund um Gary McKinnon. Selbstverständlich gibt es derzeit keine weiteren Pläne, lässt man verlauten. Also wenn das keine gute Nachrichten sind!!!

Gilmour Homepage Update: Recent comments by ambient exponents The Orb’s Alex Paterson that they have been collaborating with David Gilmour are true – up to a point. David has done some recording with The Orb and producer Youth, inspired initially by the plight of Gary McKinnon (see our related stories). However, nothing is finalised, and nothing has been confirmed with regards to any structure for the recordings or firm details re: any release plans.
