27.9.2007 Snowy White Breda Mezza Bericht und Fotos: Bas Swanenberg
After playing for 17 months with Roger Waters or like Snowy said being busy earning a living. Snowy had time for his own music with his band the White Flames being the Dutch Juan van Emmerloot on drums and Walter Latupeirissa on bass and Max Middleton on piano.
This great band played a good show for an audience of around 400 people in the Mezz Breda which can fit up to 650 people. They show started with “New day….maybe” from the album restless playing the intro from tape and then the band joined in.
I’m not so familiar with Snowy’s solo work but this song was followed by a instrumental song and after that Highway to the sun. Snowy did an improvisation on the intro from Shine on you crazy diamond as an intro for his song “Land of plenty” welcomed with applause from the audience. He did just an improvisation of a few minutes which was very good he played it with slide.
Than Snowy did something that he never done before ever in his career (his words) his new album was for sale in the back and maybe he would be signing it later on. We had a great evening full of intimate bluesrock and I can recommend it to anyone.
