Roger Waters bei Jools Holland TV-Show zu Gast.

28.11.2005: Wahrscheinlich ist "Later .. with Jools Holland" eine der besten Musiksendungen überhaupt. Das "Who is Who" der Rock & Pop Musik tritt in der BBC Sendung auf. Nick Mason und David Gilmour waren schon mehrmals zu Gast. Gilmour ist bereits dreimal aufgetreten. Allerdings immer nur als "Gastmusiker". So geschehen 1997 mit B.B. King, 1999 mit Paul McCartney und 2001 mit Mica Paris und der Jools Holland Band. Gilmour verbindet mit Jools Holland eine Freundschaft. Ich bin übrigens am 18.1.2002 als Gilmour in der Royal Festival Hall spielte neben Jools Holland gesessen! 

Weitere Floyd Aktivitäten in der "Later Show": Nick Mason stellte seine Bücher "Into the Red" und "Inside Out" vor. David Gilmour machte 2001 Werbung für "Echoes - The Best of..". Neben der TV-Show moderiert Jools Holland auch eine Radiosendung. Bei dieser waren Gilmour und Mason ebenfalls zu Gast.   

Am 22.11. war Roger Waters zu Gast. Er trat nicht auf sondern war zu einem Gespräch eingeladen. Waters der in den letzten Wochen eine wahre Medientournee absolvierte zeigte sich wieder einmal von seiner besten Seite. Das Gespräch ging natürlich um "Ca Ira" streifte dann zum Schluss jedoch auch Pink Floyd:

Jools Holland: Is there any likelihood of Pink Floyd getting back together again?

ROGER WATERS: I mean, I see no reason why we shouldn't; as I say, it was enormously enjoyable that day [Live 8] and uh...

Jools Holland: Did the others enjoy it as well?

ROGER WATERS: Yeah I think so, yeah, um... yeah, they did enjoy it. I don't think so, I KNOW they enjoyed it!

Jools Holland: So you did enjoy it, so the gauntlet's gone down, um, this studio is available for you...

ROGER WATERS: It was like, yeah, it was a bit like slipping on an old glove. No, I seriously... the first day we rehearsed, y'know we sort of wandered in and started playing Breathe or something and it, it immediately felt kind of comfortable. It was good, it was fun.
