Roger Waters: After this Tour its over.

23.04.2008: In einem aktuellen Interview für die holländische Zeitung Metro äußerte Waters erstmals, das er nach diesen Konzerten Schluss ist. Vielleicht meint er aber auch, dass er Dark Side Of The Moon nicht mehr spielen wird!

Er würde immer noch liebend gerne mit Pink Floyd spielen. Mein Koffer ist gepackt! Aber David will nicht. Er bat den Interviewer, das er David fragen solle ob er nicht doch mit Pink Floyd spielen würde!
Wahrscheinlich wäre es aber besser, wenn er David darauf ansprechen würde. Bas Swanenberg übersetzte uns dankenswerterweise einen Teil des Interviews.

AFTER THIS TOUR ITS OVER

Pink Floyds Roger Waters plays once more Dark Side of the Moon. The glory days of Pink Floyd are years behind us but the british band is still legendary. Also because Roger Waters still tours the world playing the Pink Floyd hits. Even the complete Dark Side of the Moon, Sunday 11. may the 64 year old Waters plays megaland in landgraaf. After that it is over said Waters.

The show in landgraaf will be the 4th time in two years you will play in Holland. Why do you like to play here or why do the dutch love to see you?
Waters: "First place I love to be in the Netherlands and you love to have me here those things work together. The Netherlands has always been fantastic country to play in. The atmosphere is much easier as in the uk. Always been so since late 60tis .."

You must have played the songs from Dark Side a thousand times is it still fun?
Waters: "Yeah I still love to play them but the new songs are also great to play. And I dont do this format so long the French formula 1 called me if I wanted to do dark side. My management told them they could forget that and I would never do it. But I never thought about doing dark side live and they offered me such a amount that I would be crazy to refuse haha .."

But it did not stay with that one off performance?

Waters: "No me and my band love to play the songs with so much pleasure and we made such a great visual show. That it would be a shame to do just one gig. So we decided to do a tour. This year we will do 10 shows after that its over. Special at the show is its quadraphonic sound there are speakers around the field it gives a very special experience! With Pink Floyd we begun to play with such a sound system in may 1967 and since we never done a show without it. You spend a few dollars pound euro or guldens or what ever to give your fans a special way to experience the concert. And that is sure worth it.

MY SUITCASE IS PACKED JUST IN CASE.

In july 2005 waters played for the first time in 24 years together with Mason, Wright and Gilmour. Visitor of Live 8 and millions at home were watching this special event.
Waters: "I was deeply moved when we stood there on that stage the 4 of us. Direct after we done the four song set people were asking if we could not do a tour. But Dave doesnt want to do that he is the only one from us four. And I understand and respect his decision. So fans should not have too much hope for a reunion. But maybe you can ask Dave once again. My suitcase is ready to do the gig. I would love to do it. But as it might not come to that Im very grateful that we had the chance to play together one more time. Dave didnt want to but Im glad we did in the end. In a certain way we could close a awesome period with it."
