No Pink Floyd reunion at Live Earth.

10.04.2007: Roger Waters bestätigte bei einem Interview für das Rolling Stone Magazin, dass er bei Al Gore´s Live Earth Konzert am 7. Juli in New Jersey auftreten wird.

Roger Waters versteht nicht warum die "Anderen" nicht bei Live Earth spielen wollen. Pink Floyd werden sich dafür nicht wiedervereinen. Bei den "Anderen" wird es sich wohl mehr oder weniger um David Gilmour handeln. Pink Floyd zu reaktivieren ist nicht ganz so einfach wie Waters meint. Zwischen Gilmour Waters gibt es noch zahlreiche Meinungsverschiedenheiten. Man hat sich zwar für Live8 arrangiert aber von einer Aussprache ist man weit entfernt. Waters macht den Eindruck als wolle er unbedingt wieder mit Pink Floyd auftreten und dabei auch gleich das Ruder übernehmen. Zumindest kann man dies aus seinen letzten Interviews so heraushören. Das Gilmour darauf keine Lust mehr hat davon darf man ausgehen. Zu dritt ohne Waters werden Gilmour Mason und Wright jedoch auch nicht mehr als Pink Floyd auftreten.

Entertainment news: Former Pink Floyd star Roger Waters has dismissed speculation the rock supergroup will reform for former US Vice President Al Gore's upcoming Live Earth concert, insisting his ex-bandmates aren't interested. The group thrilled their legions of fans when bandmembers put their differences aside and reformed for Live 8 in 2005, but Waters denies reports of a second reunion this summer. He says, "I can tell you that (the) others have not agreed to play it."

The rocker can't imagine why anyone would not agree to take part in the July super-gig, aimed at raising more awareness about environmental issues. He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "People are getting frightened. But fear can work for good and evil. It can build walls, and it can also motivate people to understand that a parochial, nationalistic attitude to matters that are global is not in our best interests."
