14.10.2007: Nick Mason war am 13. September zu Gast bei  Planet Rock (UK-Radiostation). Der Moderator der Sendung war Nicky Horne. Ein guter Bekannter von Pink Floyd und Nick Mason. 60 Minuten lang wurde Pink Floyds Musik gespielt und natürlich stand Mason Rede und Antwort. Ein guter Teil der Sendung drehte sich um das Debütalbum The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Syd Barrett und den Underground.

Nicky Horne gestaltete 1976 / 77 für die BBC die 6-stündige  Pink Floyd Story. Exklusiv konnte er damals auch die Animals LP spielen. Mason hatte sie ihm zur Verfügung gestellt.

DJ Horne bat Mason sein Lieblingsstück von Pink Floyd zu spielen. Masons Lieblingsstück von Pink Floyd ist: Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun. Selbstverständlich wurde Mason etwas später auch nach dem aktuellen Zustand von Pink Floyd gefragt. DJ Horne wußte Bescheid über das Syd Barrett Tribut Konzert und wollte wissen warum Waters nicht mit den anderen spielte.

Okay let me  put it this Way: Would you be happy if we just continue to sit here and celebrate the anniversarys of previous Pink Floyd Albums and previous glorys or would you prefer to talking about Pink Floyd on the road, Pink Floyd on tour, new music from you and Dave and Rick and maybe Roger?

NICK MASON: I think in a perfect world of course. I think anyone in this sort of envirement would like to do and be involved in new things. But one also has to relative realistic about it and i think the chances of new music from the full loveable moptops is extremly remote at any level. Because i think it would be to difficult for David and Roger to work together ......
