09.10.2007: David Jensen bekannter Radio DJ von Capitol Gold sprach ende September mit David Gilmour über seine neue DVD, Syd Barrett, Pink Floyd usw. .

The Band that i have or had on this tour and undoubtably have again was just such a great Band!

Weitere interessante Interview Passagen:

Lets play Arnold Layne it features a certain David Bowie. Have you been Friends for a while?

DAVID GILMOUR: No not really. I met him a few times before. He came to couple of shows. He came to a show on our 1987 Tour in switzerland with his son i think. He´s always been a really nice chap. I´ve was looking for people who to sing on Comfortably Numb. Because you know Rogers part and my part on Comfortably Numb form a kind of a dialog.

Are you at War still?

DAVID GILMOUR: I hopefully not, no. I mean i´ve not been at war. I not felt like i´ve been at war with him. But it felt like ive been in a war a little bit. The whole Live8 thing was a good moment and it was good for us to get together and be able to put some of that stuff behind us. I´m sure we both have still sort of harbourer some thoughts of what ever those grievances. But we probably both try to forget them (laughs). No we get on okay these days.

And was that closure of the Band then?

DAVID GILMOUR: For me thats pretty much closure on the Band. I´m certainly not anticipating touring or recording as Pink Floyd again. If another One-Off that was as important as Live8 came up under the right circumstance who knows.

An People will be now clampering for more new Music from David Gilmour. So how far a long are you on the next Project?

DAVID GILMOUR: Not quite started yet. I have a lot left over from the last Album that is still waiting to be worked on and used. And that will be the startpoint on some point for me getting back into the studio. But that usually sort of gets the creative juices flowing and then hopefully some more stuff will be written.
