Tangerine Dream veröffentlichen Syd Barrett Tribut CD/DVD.

18.04.2007: Das neue Tangerine Dream Studioalbum "Madcap’s Flaming Duty” wird am 2. April 2007 als Doppelpack - CD/DVD - veröffentlicht und enthält die Musik CD als auch eine DVD die eine Studioperformance des gesamten Albums zeigt.

Official Tangerine Dream website: Tangerine Dream celebrate their 40th Anniversary in 2007 with the release of their latest album - "Madcap’s Flaming Duty". Released 2nd April, the album is dedicated to former Pink Floyd guitarist Syd Barrett who died in July 2006.

The lyrics for each of the songs on the new album are adapted from English and American poets from 17th and 18th century literature by Bianca F. Acquaye. The music is written by Edgar Froese and Thorsten Quaeschning (see track listing and credits listed below).

This recording is dedicated to the influential spirit of a legendary musical mind, Syd Barrett, who had to end his present incarnation in summer 2006.

Edgar Froese has recorded an exclusive interview for Voiceprint where he discusses the album and previews tracks featured on the album. The album recorded in Vienna and Berlin during October 2006 features Edgar Froese, Thorsten Quaeschning, Chris Housle, Bernhard Beibl, Linda Spa, Gynt Beator, Thomas Beator and Iris Camaa.

Tangerine Dream will perform "Madcap's Flaming Duty" and some so far never performed music from the early days on April 20th, 2007 (Friday) at the ASTORIA Theatre London. It will be the World Premiere of the forthcoming studio release. You will see a very special production accompanying the music. Tickets will be on sale early next week. You will get more detailed information (where to buy tickets etc.) on this website very soon.
PS: There will be only one gig in London at that time!
