27.03.2008: Das Box-Set ist limitiert auf 200 Stück! Eine sehr schöne Box die Freddy Bannister Veranstalter zahlreicher Konzerte und Festivals der 60er und 70er Jahre hier zusammengestellt hat. So eine Box würde man sich einmal von Pink Floyd erwarten. Oh By The Way hätte so sein können. Die Box hat die stattlichen Maße von 39 x 27 x 8 cm. Sehr gute stabile Verarbeitung, schöner Schriftdruck.

Den ganzen Inhalt der Box herauszunehmen, das nimmt schon etwas Zeit in Anspruch. Es gibt einiges darin zu entdecken. So etwa die Nachdrucke der Programmhefte, Eintrittskarten Flyer usw. Sehr interessant auch das Buch über die "Abenteuer" die Mr. Bannister im Zuge seiner Konzertveranstaltungen 1969-79 erleben durfte. Sehr schön sind auch einige der 12 Knebworth Fotos von Pink Floyd.

Einziger Punkt den man bemängeln könnte sind die CD-Slimcases. Da hätten herkömmliche Hüllen professioneller ausgesehen.

Ein 330 Seiten Buch mit 70 Fotos findet man auch in der Box. Geschrieben von Freddy Bannister über seine Veranstaltungen mit über 20 Seiten über Pink Floyd in Knebworth. Bannister schreibt darin unter anderem: "80.000 Fans sahen den letzten Pink Floyd Auftritt 1975 in Knebworth. Wir hätten noch locker weitere 20 - 30.000 Karten verkaufen können so populär waren Pink Floyd damals. Steve O Rourke war der beste Manager mit dem ich je zusammengearbeitet habe." Das Foto zeigt die 80.000 Fans aus der Vogelperspektive beim Knebworth Konzert.

12 großformatig s/w Fotos von Pink Floyds Konzert in Knebworth 1975. Auf einem der Fotos ist auch Roy Harper auf seinem Pferd Trigger im Backstagebereich zu sehen. Roy Harper verwüstete vor seinem Auftritt noch schnell seine Garderobe. Er wollte unbedingt mit dem Pferd auf die Bühne. Was man allerdings zu verhindern wußte. Als später Pink Floyd auftraten sang Harper Have A Cigar.

Pink Floyd Knebworth 05.07.1975 - 2/CD re-mastered

Pink Floyds Auftritt in Knebworth war gekennzeichnet von vielen technischen Problemen z.B. einem total Ausfall von Wrights Tasteninstrumenten. Besonders interessant sind Have A Cigar von Roy Harper gesungen, Echoes mit Dick Parry am Saxofon was allerdings 1975 immer so gespielt wurde. Dann natürlich die 1975 gespielten Frühversionen von Sheep (Raving And Drooling) und Dogs (Gotta Be Crazy) und Shine On You Crazy Diamond durchgehend mit Have A Cigar als Mittelteil. Das waren halt noch Zeiten, vor 80.000 gleich mal eine Stunde neues Material präsentieren. Am Beginn des Konzertes flogen zwei alte Doppeldecker Kampfflugzeuge über das Publikum. So etwas wiederholten Pink Floyd 1988 in Rotterdam.
