Nick Mason trat in der englischen BBC 1 Sendung „TGI Friday“ auf. Es handelte sich um eine Wohltätigkeitsveranstaltung. Mason begleitete Elvis Gostello am Schlagzeug. Als weitere Gaststars traten die „Girlie“ Truppe All Saints, Jools Holland & Band und der englische Formel 1 Fahrer Damon Hill (Gitarre) auf. Bis jetzt ist uns nur die Coverversion von Ben E. Kings „Stand By Me“ bekannt. Moderator der Sendung Chris Evans begrüßte Mason mit den Worten „Pink Floyds Nick Mason“. Mason soll sehr engagiert und zufrieden hinter dem Schlagzeug gewirkt haben. Mason wurde kürzlich auch bei der Eröffnung des neuen Tommy Hilfiger Geschäftes in der Londoner Bond Street gesehen. Hilfiger ist der Hauptsponsor des Formel 1 Ferrari Teams 1999. Beide Ferrari Fahrer, Michael Schuhmacher und Eddie Irvine, waren anwesend. Klar das dabei Mr. Nick Mason nicht fehlen durfte.

Re-build The Roundhouse Gala. Hugh took part in the Rebuild The Roundhouse, at The Roundhouse, Camden on Thursday 22nd June 2000. Hugh performed three songs:A solo, acoustic Golden Brown The Doors People Are Strange - with Hugh on guitar and lead vocals, performing with Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra Gilson Lavis then vacated the drums, to be replaced by Nick Mason from Pink Floyd, for a version of Interstellar Overdrive from the 1st Pink Floyd album, Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, with Hugh on guitar The Roundhouse is one of the most extraordinary buildings in London. Built as a railway maintenance shed in the 1840's, it was turned into a bonded warehouse for gin before becoming a landmark venue during the 1960's and 70's. David Bowie, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones have all performed there.Rebuild The Roundhouse was a private gala to raise money for the restoration of The Roundhouse as a venue and also to build a centre of learning in the undercroft of the building. The Roundhouse Creative Centre will give young people from all backgrounds the facilities and training to develop skills in the creative industries.

Grand Prix Party. A gala evening of stars, cars & guitar. In aid of Professor Sid Watkins' charity, The Brain & Spine Foundation. The first Grand Prix Party ws a resounding success with appearances from some of the greatest names from the worlds of F1 and music. For the unforgettable finale, the 5,000-strong crowd were brought to their feet as no fewer than five World Champions - Damon Hill, Niki Lauda, Jackie Stewart, Nigel Mansell and Jody Scheckter took to the stage joined by, amongst others, F1 impressario Bernie Ecclestone and Murray Walker singing along to the vocal talents of Gabrielle, Tony Hadley, Five and Simon Le Bon. The instrumental backing ws provided by Jools Holland, Chris Rea, Mike and the Mechanics, Nick Mason, Paul Stewart, Damon Hill and Eddie Jordan. Professor Sid Watkins said "The Grand Prix Party was a terrific success. We're hoping to have raised in the region of £100,000 from this event but this is just the start! Now the teams have seen an event like this come together and the scale of its impact, we should be able to count on even greater support in years to come and look at doubling or tripling what we raise for the sufferers of brain and spinal injuries"
